The Princely State of Junapadar was amongst the Indian native states during the rule of the British Empire in India. During the early 19th century, the region was appointed as one of the princely states of India under the indirect rule of the British administration. The region was scattered over a total area of 1 sq miles and is presently located in the Indian state of Gujarat. The region comprised of a total population of 224 in the year 1931. The Princely State of Junapadar was incorporated as a part of the Baroda Agency, which was a sub division of the Western India States Agency. The state of Junapadar was also a part of the Eastern Kathiawar Agency and Chok Datha Thana. Later it was included in the Indian state of Gujarat. 

The territory or taluka of Junapadar, located in Chok Datha Thana, included one village situated around 11 miles south southwest of Palitana region. The erstwhile state was bordered by Chok in the north; by Sevdivadar in the south and by Iavej in the west. The Thana of Chok Datha was scattered over a total area of 115 sq miles and had a total population of 24,782 in the year 1931. It included around 23 estates, and of them 22 estates was located in a compressed region in Chok. The remaining taluka of Datha was located almost 10 miles from the other estates and was bounded by the princely state of Bhavnagar.

The Princely State Of Junapadar held the title of Thakor.The Princely State of Junapadar was a non- jurisdictionary state. The estateholders of the former native state and had limited education. The shareholders of Junapadar paid tribute to the princely state of Baroda and the princely state of Junagadh. Under the Attachment Scheme of 1943, the princely state of Junapadar was attached to the princely state of Bhavnagar. The estateholders of Junapadar were Khasia Kolis. 

After the withdrawal of the British and the independence of India on 15th August 1947, the last native ruler of the princely state of Junapadar acceded his state to the newly formed Union of India, also known as the Dominion.
